The Heirs Smart school plan is perfect for parents who want to shield their child’s education from uncertainties.
This plan works in partnership with schools to guarantee that Heirs Life pays a child’s school fees throughout his/her stay in the school if the parent is unable to do so in a case of death or permanent disability. This way, education continues.
The Heirs Smart School plan can be taken for students in primary, secondary and tertiary institutions.

Smart School Plan
Parents/guardians who have children/wards in Nursery, Primary, Secondary schools & Tertiary Institutions
- For Nursery Schools: The parent pays 1.5% of the child's outstanding school fees until graduation from Nursery school.
- For Primary Schools: The parent pays 2% of the child's outstanding school fees until graduation from Primary school.
- For Secondary Schools: The parent pays 2.5% of the child's outstanding school fees until graduation from Secondary school.
- For Universities: The Parent pays 3% of the child's outstanding school fees until graduation from the University.
- Age limit for parents: 18 - 60 years
- Benefit if there's loss of life or parent suffers permanent disability/critical illness: Total outstanding school fees for the duration of the child’s education in that school.
- Contribution frequency: Annually
- Minimum duration: 1 year; every academic session (renewable yearly)
- Medical examination of parent: Not required for payout benefits less than N30 million. Required if payout benefit is greater than N30 million. (We pay for the medical tests)
